Meet the doctors
Dr. Tod Thompson
Dr. Tod Thompson is a graduate of the Indiana University School of Optometry. He is board-certified in the Treatment and Management of Ocular Disease, and completed a clinical rotation at the VA Medical Center in Cleveland, OH. Before establishing his practice in Plainfield, he practiced in Greenwood, IN. His undergraduate studies were in Mechanical Engineering.
Dr. Thompson and his wife, Amy, reside in Plainfield, where they enjoy being involved with Plainfield Christian Church.
Dr. Leanne Short
Dr. Leanne Short is a graduate of the Indiana University School of Optometry. She is passionate about primary care optometry, as well as more specialized care including pediatric exams and eye disease management. Before receiving her Doctor of Optometry degree, her original passion was Opticianry, and she was the Program Chair of the Optician and Eyecare Program at Ivy Tech Community College, training future Opticians and Technicians.
Dr. Short and her husband, Jared (who is also an Optician!) have two children - Maren and Maddox, and live in Franklin, IN. Other than their many conversations revolving around optics, they also enjoy spending time outdoors as a family and going to concerts and music festivals.

Comprehensive Eye Care
We provide comprehensive eye examinations and contact lens fittings as well as more specialized care including:
- Evaluation and Management of eye health conditions -
- Dry Eye

- Diabetic Eye Exams and Diabetic Retinopathy
- Macular Degeneration
- Scleral Contact Lens fittings
- Binocular Vision Evaluations (double vision, crossed eye, amblyopia)
- Pediatric Eye exams
- Pre- and Post-Operative care for Cataract surgery or Refractive surgery (LASIK, SMILE, PRK)
- Urgent Care / Red Eye visits
Optical Services
We have a large display of frames, and can fill both eyeglass and contact lens prescriptions. We offer polarized sun lenses, and lenses specifically designed for computer use that include blue light (HEV) filters.
Insurance Plans
We participate with Vision Service Plan (VSP), Eyemed (Blue View Vision), Spectera vision plans.
We can also file with several medical insurance plans depending on the diagnosis including Medicare, Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield, United Healthcare, PPO plans for Aetna, Humana, and MyTrue Advantage, and some other plans as well. We can usually verify available benefits when scheduling a visit.
